Jeff backed off of the music scene and has been spending his time concentrating on other business and artistic projects until the 90's. 1991 proved to be Jeff's return sound development as a solo artist. "Taking time off has been good in a way. It's given me the opportunity to expand my musical senses as well as other artistic endeavors." After securing a deal with David Peel's Orange Records in NYC, Jeff was given one option: To do a cassette solo-single.
"Dance With Fire" was a composition that Jeff had on the boards when the deal was struck. Needless to say, it made it to the tape. "I didn't want to come across as another "Phil Collins", but I did want to basically do a small solo project. I didn't really have anything to back up to "Dance", but I was messing a bit with a blues tune at the time, and thought it would be good filler. | Grandmaison and Ricky Wilcox). Finally, a reunion with all the original members. We saw faces we hadn't seen in years and it was good to look around the stage and see all the Rags up there together. Anyway, I let Orange know that a reunion show was scheduled, so to make a long story short, we took some songs from the first Rags E.P., remastered them, put them on the solo tape (along with new age type filler) and bingo a new Rich Rags project surfaced. Well, not really new. We needed a product. We got one. | ||||||
